This is a recent Op-Ed response that I wrote and published in the Los Angeles Times in response to Sister Sheila McNiff’s dispicable defense of the church’s negligence in the developing clergy abuse litigation. Sister McNiff’s defense is a perfect case-in-point of clergy protecting clergy.
